The falls are surprisingly soft and flexible, but they still land with a satisfying, thuddy weight. I expected flimsier, but forty of them means every stroke covers plenty of ground.

The scarlet and black combo looks even richer in person, and the faux leather falls have just the right snap without being harsh. I wasn't expecting the thuddy sensation to be this distinct from a regular whip—it's a whole different kind of tingle.

Those 40 falls feel way more substantial than I expected—the scarlet faux leather is soft but delivers a proper thuddy sting that builds beautifully. I've had mine for a couple weeks now and the black satin handle hasn't frayed or loosened at all.
