Flipped it to the studded side and the difference is immediate — much sharper feedback, exactly what I wanted. The smooth side is great for warming up, then the studs take it up a notch. Vinyl feels sturdy and wipes clean in seconds.
Wasn't sure a vinyl paddle would feel sturdy enough, but this thing has real weight and no flex when you swing it. The smooth side is gentle enough for warm-up and the studded side gives a proper sting without being brutal.
